INTRODUCTION TO COMPOSITION | ONE DAY WORKSHOP

Learn to understand how to use visual language to create compositions that work to engage emotions, and tell a compelling visual story as an essential means to create impactful photographs.

Composition should be a constant preoccupation... an organic coordination of visual elements. – Henri Cartier-Bresson

Why are diagonals dramatic? Why are curves calming? Why does red feel hot and blue feel cold? Understanding the fundamental elements of composition is first step to mastering your photos.

While many photographers are preoccupied with technique, few continue to search the world around them to find new and find interesting compositions that bring their pictures to life. Understanding how the language of visual composition works to engage the emotions, and tell compelling visual stories is essential to creating impactful photography.

Join Curtis Juliber for this engaging class that will expand your visual category and give you the knowledge to assemble your own visual kit of compositional tools to create compelling visual stories.
