PLATINUM PALLADIUM PRINTING | ONE-DAY INTENSIVE WORKSHOP

Produce hand-coated platinum/palladium prints from your own digital file using calibrated digital negatives and traditional contact printing methods.

Participants will hand-coat fine art paper with platinum/palladium chemistry and work with UV exposure and chemical development to produce finished prints with a full tonal range and archival stability.

Participants will submit one image file in advance for printing. A file upload link will be provided after registration and by email prior to the workshop.

Workshop Content

Participants will work through the complete Pt/Pd process:

  • Submission of one digital image file prior to the workshop (instructions provided after registration)

  • Paper selection, coating methods, and controlled drying

  • UV exposure using contact printing systems

  • Developing, clearing, and washing prints for archival permanence

  • Evaluating tonal range, contrast, and surface response
