INTRODUCTION TO DYE SUBLIMATION | ONE DAY WORKSHOP

Learn how to create metal prints, puzzles and photo gifts in this Hands-On workshop.

Have you ever wondered how they make things like metal prints, mugs, puzzles, coasters and more?  Learn how you can do it at home with a fairly inexpensive investment.

Dye sublimation is unique in the sense that it takes a special type of ink, in gas form, and through the heat process transforms it into a solid. Skipping over the liquid phase allows the gases to penetrate the material. This creates a more durable product because it is creating a permanent color bond between the “ink” and the surface being printed on.

This four hour class is designed to teach you the basics of the Dye Sublimation process.  In this class you will learn the basics of dye sublimation printing and create two cardboard puzzles (approximately 8” x 11.5”) and printed fabric storage bag, of your own photos. After class, we will have a limited assortment of materials that you can purchase and print on - such as coasters, metal, business cards, magnets and more.
