Введение в фотолабораторию предназначено для новичков в аналоговой фотографии, которые хотят изучить базовые приемы фотолаборатории, в том числе проявку черно-белой пленки, изготовление контрольных листов и печать с помощью увеличителя. Предыдущий опыт фотолаборатории не обязателен, а базовое понимание экспозиции хоть и полезно, но не обязательно.

Beginning Darkroom: Shoot • Develop • Print Your First Roll of Black & White Film. Discover the magic of the traditional photographic darkroom in this hands-on, two-evening introduction to black & white film photography. Designed for beginners, this workshop will guide you through the complete process—from exposing a roll of film to making your first silver gelatin print. On the first evening, participants photograph the neighborhood using a manual 35mm camera provided by Praxis (or bring their own camera), then develop their black & white negatives in the darkroom. On the second evening, you'll create a contact sheet, learn how to make test strips, and produce a finished photographic print to take home. – What You'll Learn • Operate a manual 35mm film camera • Understand basic film exposure and processing • Develop black & white film • Make and evaluate contact sheets • Create test strips • Produce your first finished darkroom print – What's Included • Black & white film processing chemistry • Up to 10 sheets of Ilford RC printing paper • Archival sleeve for your processed negatives • Aprons and non-latex gloves • Light lunch (participants with dietary restrictions should bring their own) – Requirements No previous darkroom experience is necessary.
