Expand Your Creative Tool Kit With This Introduction To Strobe And Artificial Lighting For Portraiture! 


Learn how to use strobe light in a studio setting, and why shooting with strobes makes such a big impact on your photographs; results not possible using only natural light. The instructor will demonstrate all the steps necessary to use strobe lights. By the end of this one day course, you will feel confident enough to experiment with strobe lighting on your own. You will learn how to set your gear up, trigger your lights, and make modifications with accessories like reflectors, umbrellas, and softboxes. The final half of the class you will have tome to shoot on set with a professional model. 


CLASS REQUIREMENTS: Able to operate DSLR camera in manual mode.


WHAT TO BRING: Bring your digital camera, batteries, charger and memory cards.

COST: This 1-day workshop has a registration fee of $155. Save an additional 10% when you bundle this class with Intermediate Strobe. Please register via the online form below. Lunch will be provided. Students with dietary restrictions are asked to bring their own.


ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Ross Anderson is an award-winning fashion and beauty photographer dedicated to creating engaging and iconic imagery. Ross has won numerous awards for his work including the APA and the Int’l Loupe Awards Grand Prize. Ross was recently published in Creative Quarterly's BEST 100, in 2018. His photography has been exhibited in solo and group shows in art galleries across the US, Europe, and Asia. His fashion and beauty clients include Macy’s, Elle, Aveda, and Regis.

CLASS WITHDRAWAL/CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY: Payment in full is required at the time of registration. If the class is full we will put you on a contact list for the next scheduled class. Notice of withdrawal must be made two weeks in advance. There is no penalty to transfer to the next scheduled class. A 50% refund can be issued at this time if that is your preference. There are no refunds for notice given less than two weeks before the class though transfers may be made up to one week in advance. There are no refunds for no-shows.
